The PROBUS CLUB OF NORTH YORK |
We are a volunteer-based, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian fellowship organization. The purpose is to stimulate thought, interest and participation in a variety of activities among retirees and semi-retirees. Our monthly General Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 10 am to Noon at North York Memorial Hall, Burgundy Room (lower level), 5110 Yonge Street. | Public Transit or Walking - Located along the Yonge-University Subway Line, with direct access from the North York Centre subway station. Driving - Memorial Hall is located at 5110 Yonge Street. There is a paid public parking lot on the west side of Beecroft Road as well as street parking in the area. |
General MeetingsThe Probus Club of North York meets monthly. Members get club updates, socialize with fellow members, and hear a guest speaker on various topics. | ActivitiesActivity Groups (e.g. Monthly movie, Bridge, On stage, etc.) meet monthly or more frequently in some cases. Please view the Membership Information page before proceeding to register for any Activity. Club members may check Activity boxes in their profile for any Activity for which they wish to be registered. The Activity Convenor is also listed with each Activity. | Special EventsSpecial events (e.g., Guided Tours, Trips, Shows, etc.) are not regularly scheduled and open to all members to sign up. These events may have a limit on the number of participants to attend and prepayment of a fee to cover the event cost. |
